How a home visit works
- Choose "come to me". Pick the service, the car and where it's parked: your home, your office or the seller's place.
- Pick a verified mechanic. You only see verified mechanics near you who do home visits, with their distance and travel fee.
- Approve the price first. The mechanic checks the car and sends an itemised quote. Nothing is fixed until you accept it.
Home visit travel fee
- Within 5 km: ₦1,500
- Within 10 km: ₦2,500
- Within 20 km: ₦4,000
- Within 30 km: ₦6,000
Typical rates. Some mechanics set their own, and the booking always shows the exact fee.

Create a free VehhiCore account, add your car, then choose "Home service" when you book. Pick the service, a time and a verified mechanic near you, and they come to where the car is.
Is booking a mechanic free?
Yes. Booking costs nothing. You pay for the repair itself, at the price you accepted in the mechanic's quote, plus a travel fee for a home visit.
How much does a home visit cost?
The travel fee depends on how far the mechanic comes: usually ₦1,500 within 5 km, ₦2,500 within 10 km, ₦4,000 within 20 km and ₦6,000 within 30 km. It goes to the mechanic, and some mechanics set their own rates. You see the exact fee before you confirm.
How do I know what the repair will cost?
After checking the car, the mechanic sends an itemised quote in the booking. You accept or reject it, and no repair starts until you accept.
Are the mechanics verified?
Yes. Only mechanics VehhiCore has verified appear in booking, and only those who offer home visits are shown when you ask for one.
Can a mechanic inspect a car I want to buy?
Yes. Book a home visit to the seller's location for diagnostics or a general check. For an imported car, run a VIN check too, so you know its recorded history as well as its condition today.
Do I need the app?
No, you can book on the website today. The VehhiCore mobile app is coming soon and will add emergency help and engine scans with an OBD2 reader.
